Tag: The Bookish Adventure

The Bookish Adventure Tag.JPG

Hi y’all!

It’s no secret that I LOVE procrastinating with a good tag, it’s a fun way of doing something different even if it ends up taking longer than writing a review. Mostly because I’m so indecisive it’s bordering on being annoying!! But this tag looks so different and fun, that I just couldn’t help but dive right in.

I was lucky enough to be tagged by Stephen, who’s one of the sweetest bloggers I’ve been lucky enough to meet. If you’re not already following him, please head over and take a look at his blog.

Imagine that you are an intrepid literary adventurer- braving the harsh bookish wilderness, traversing jungles of pages and slashing through vines of words. Where in the vast world of books would you go?

  • Write about one place mentioned in a book you wish you could visit and why.
  • List 3-5 things that you would do there.
  • Mention which souvenirs, if any, you would bring back with you.
  • Then tag some more literary explorers and please link back to the creator (Umairah @ Sereadipity) so I can see all of your adventures!

I shouldn’t be surprised that my first option was used by Stephen, I mean who wouldn’t want to visit Hogwarts? So instead I’ll go with Camp Half-Blood from Percy Jackson and the Olympians

  1. Join them all at the camp fire!
I am tone deaf, so I probably wouldn’t sing along – because I then I might risk someone from the Apollo cabin trying to smite me. But I’d definitely roast smores on the fire and listen to their stories.
  2. Attend lessons!
Okay, I might not want to fight any of the Demi gods 1:1, or climb the wall only to fall into the lava below. But I’d definitely have to join them for Pegasus riding.
  3. See the Oracle!
Whether it’s Rachel Elisabeth Dare or the old one cursed by Hades, I wouldn’t be able to stop myself from seeking out the oracle. I would probably kick myself after, if I got one of those cryptic prophecies… but still, worth it!!
  4. Watch them play capture the flag!
Since I don’t have a death wish I wouldn’t be playing with them. Nuh-uhh! Unless someone bestowed some kick ass powers on me, I’d stand on the sidelines and eagerly watch them mutilate each other for fun.
  5. Play Pinochle with Mr. D and Chiron!
I have no idea how to play, but I’d do extensive Google searches and watch YouTube tutorials before, just so I can be good enough that Mr. D won’t smite me – but also to make sure I’m not so good he’ll smite me for winning. In other words I’d have to Google “how to be great at Pinochle without being so good an Olympian god will want your head”. Simple!!

I couldn’t leave without at least attempting to steal Annabeth’s Yankee’s cap, Percy’s Minotaur Horn or his magical sword Riptide or Clarisse’s Magic Spear. If none of that was possible, I might go see the Hermes cabin about some used winged shoes.

As always there’s no pressure to do the tag if you don’t want to!! And please let me know if you like doing tags, so I can tag you in future ones.
