Hi y’all and happy Top Ten Tuesday!
Today we’re going to have a look at the first ten books I reviewed. Rissi, who came up with this weeks theme, did specify that it doesn’t have to be formal reviews. A small sentence on a retailer site or Goodreads counts, too! While that’s all good and well, I wrote my first 100 book reviews when I was a teenager and read Danish books. That does pose some interesting obstacles. 1. I don’t think the websites from back then exist anymore. 2. Unless any of you read and understand Danish, there’s not much point displaying the books. 3. I don’t remember which ten books I first reviewed. Sorry, but in my 25 year career as an avid reader, I’ve lost track of that.
I did consider going with the first ten reviews I posted on my blog, but I made that almost impossible for myself. When I started blogging I had so many reviews I wanted to share with you all. Instead of posting a gazillion on my first day, I decided to back date them to when I’d posted them on Goodreads. So I could of course just go with that, right? Right? Nope!! Because last year I was very focused on finishing a series before starting a new one, actually I still do that as much as possible!! Anyway, that means my first ten reviews would most likely be only spread into one or two series!!
So for this week I’ll change it up a bit, and go with the ten first reviews I wrote in 2018. If some are from the same series, I might jump ahead to the next one!!
The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller
The Lightning Thief
(this one seems to creep in on a lot of my TTT posts, that is unintentional!!)
Funny how I’ve completely forgotten reading some of those books – I guess that doesn’t speak too well about the content!! These weren’t actually my first ten reads of 2018, but it was the first ten where I wrote a review and didn’t just leave a rating!!
Did you do your own Top Ten Tuesday post? If so, feel free to leave your link in the comments and I’ll check it out 🙂 Which ten books inspired you to leave your first ten reviews anywhere? Let’s talk in the comments!

I really, really MUST read Song of Achilles. I’ve read Circe, which is on my list 🙂 and I love Madeline Miller’s writing style. Wonder what her next story will be about.

I haven’t read Circe yet. I’m too scared to lol in case it doesn’t live up to my expectations. But SoA is one of my all time favourite books 😃
