The blurb:

The seduction in my blood leads me to find not one, but two mates. Will it help me discover where I stand between love and war?

Being a private secretary to two NYC billionaires is a rewarding experience. Not only do I gain a position where I keep my independence, but I’m also given the chance to get closer to the two very opposite Smith brothers.

However, with my new circumstances, juggling my new powers and discovering my identity in this new world of shifters is going to be a difficult task. A task that I, Anatasia of Last Resort, don’t know if I want to take on.

Pack fights, arranged marriages, and being in the middle of a power struggle between different sides of the shifter spectrum, I’m going to need all the help I can get to stay sane. It’s time to turn the tables and have Liam, Brian, Alexander, and even my cat, Pix, assist me on this new mission.

Now I’m the sole person every race wants because my very existence is what will lead whoever wins my soul to victory. As long as my cacti are allowed to come with, whatever side I choose will be my new home. If I can choose, that is…

Will I be able to seduce my way out of this? Or will the seduction in my blood turn sour?

🌺 Who knew the key to killing an almost invincible vampire-succubus hybrid, was to drive into her car and then inject poison into her veins?

🌺 Who knew that once she’s dead and brought back to life, the way to keep her from dying all over again, was to let Brian bite her?

🌺 Who knew that a bite from Brian would then turn her into a triple hybrid?

After months of sleeping, Sia is finally awake. Her men. Liam, Brian & Alexander, are trying their best to be there for her whilst also explaining her change. Sia is very confused and easily overwhelmed, so it takes time for her to really understand what has happened; the attack that led to her almost dying (again), and especially what saved her. Sia is now a triple shifter, which haven’t been seen in many years. Not only is she now a vampire-succubus-wolf shifter, the bite also revealed Brian as her mate. On top of that as a wolf Sia is now pulled into pack hierarchy and politics. When Brian’s second in command take it upon herself to test Sia’s strength, she lives to regret it. If you think Sia was strong before, it was almost nothing compared to now. With her inner wolf guiding and helping her, she truly is a force to be reckoned with!

While Sia was slumbering she did overhear a few conversations here and there. An unknown man named Pixel was there, but she soon forgets about that again. Only one thing really sticks out: Alexander, her supposed human best friend, is in fact a wolf shifter. A fact that he kept hidden from her out of fear that she wouldn’t accept him. As both the twins are now Sia’s mates, that once again leaves Alexander as the odd one out. He and Sia had only just made up, so I felt sorry for him. For about one minute. Surely that would mean that he’s willing to work harder on not loosing her, right? Wrong! Alexander is absent for 99% of this book. Apparently he is busy dealing with some family drama, which Brian, as his alpha, seems to know about. But since Alexander doesn’t offer up any explanation to Sia, she just feels pushed aside and neglected all over again. Though I do applaud the way Sia deals with him, I find myself hoping that he’s just completely left out of the final book in the series. Because At this point I don’t even care what Alexander is dealing with. In my eyes there’s no way he can redeem himself, after all the shit he has pulled, and the secrets he seemed determined on keeping.

I’ll admit that like many other readers, I’m not into neither Liam nor Brian. In the beginning they seemed great, but now they seem more like adolescent boys, instead of powerful shifter men. Their banter are amusing at times, but their whining is just not attractive at all. Especially not when their mother comes into the picture. What makes me really like these books is Sia, Pixel and the twins mother. Their personalities and traits are just so entertaining. And the fact that Sia is growing leaps and bounds as a person, only makes me like her even more. She’s had a horrible past, but she doesn’t play the victim card and she only seems stronger for it. I also feel like I should mention that this book does contain possible triggers: torture, rape and humanoid drug experimentation. Nothing is explained in details, and it’s all done in the past, but it still carries a hint of darkness.

Lets chat

How do you feel about book that contains possible triggers? Do you stay away from them? Or do you like me, like your romance with a hint of darkness? Let’s talk in the comments!
