Spring Cleaning tag

Spring Cleaning tag.jpg

I saw this tag over on Gerry’s blog sometime ago. Normally when I see tags I want to do, I complete it within a few weeks. This time its taken me exactly 20 days to get around to it, and even then, that’s only when I’m scheduling it. In reality you’ll be able to read it in a week. So 27 days after I was tagged. While that’s not really a big deal, I’m being overly dramatic about this, because Gerry was slow too. And she came up with this amazing anecdote I want to share with you:

About 100 years ago when the winters were harsh and the wolves prowled the lands and while we clutched against one another in the darkness for warmth as our bellies screamed for food, Sara tagged me in the Spring Cleaning Book Tag.

Thank you for literally making me LOL at this dramatic tale 😂 Seriously guys, if you’re not already following her blog, you NEED to do it asap.

So the thing is, the books on my nightstand are either books I’ve read, books I’m reading or books I’m going to read. I don’t leave books out to impress anyone. However, for the sake of this tag, I’ll pretend that’s the case.

Vanity, thy name is Bibi

The vain creature that’s living within me, want it to be a beautiful book. So I think I’d go with:

It’s ironic, I’ve almost just talked about how hard it is for me to get into audio books. The thing is, I’m too easily distracted. So, if I haven’t already read the book I would need to be doing literally NOTHING, to keep up with an audio book. If not, I feel like I’m missing important things, and I have to keep going back.

Euhm… none! No way. Not happening.

Sure, I could use my 4 Twilight Saga books. Breaking Bad would probably handle a flood on it’s own, it’s pretty thick. Or I could use my Fifty Shades trilogy. But the thing is, love them or hate them, it’s MY books. I bought them at a time. I liked or even loved them at a time. So to this day, they’ll have some kind of sentimental value. I still remember standing in line forever to buy the entire Twilight set. So, no. Using my books is absolutely not an option.

I used to have a copy of this one. But a lot of moving around made me loose it somewhere. But now I’m definitely thinking of buying it again! 😂

How (Not) to Marry a DukeHow (Not) to Marry a Duke by Felicia Kingsley | Arc review

This is one of the worst books I’ve ever read. So in order to feed my family, I’d happily tear the entire thing up!

Hmm… I like buying entire book series in one go, at least when it comes to physical copies. Which makes it a toughie, unless I bought a trilogy. But I think I’d buy:

I haven’t read the books, yet. But they’re near the top of my TBR list. So this would be the perfect opportunity, to at least get them on my shelves.

Grumpy Old Menopause by [Wyer, Carol]

I’m not really a fan of the passive aggressive gift giving. However, I wouldn’t be able to let something like that go. So, in this scenario my aunt would receive a copy of this book, I’d even pay for first class postal services. AND, I’d pay double if the mail man also took a picture of my aunts face.

  1. HAHAH This was SO much fun to read 😂😂😂 Thanks for tagging me!! I’ll have to think long and hard which book I would soak up some water with omg 😂 Hopefully I won’t take too long to answer to this tag, I’m always super slow!

  2. I’m glad I’m not the only one who was late to this tag. It’s more like an autumn cleaning now 😛

Loved your answers! I’m also not a fan of passive aggressive book giving, I love giving books as a gift! I also tend to buy series in one go (or used to) but I’ve got into such a bad habit of buying one and then loving it and cursing myself for not buying the rest or buying one and then rushing to buy more before I discover that the final book isn’t even out yet!

  3. Maybe you should actually try putting bits of book into a casserole, I think we would all be interested to hear how it turns out 🙂

The cover of Circe is gorgeous isn’t it, that would definitely impress everyone.
