I saw this great tag when looking through Sara’s blog. I wasn’t technically tagged but seeing as that’s never stopped me, I decided not to break the self-inviting cycle. Sara is one of the greatest people I’ve been lucky enough to meet on my blog journey, so if you haven’t already, you should definitely check out her blog.
TALE AS OLD AS TIME: A POPULAR THEME, TROPE OR SETTING YOU WILL NEVER GET BORED OF READING.
I absolutely love books about paranormal creatures, Romance and myths/legends. I enjoy it even more, if it’s a mixture of all three. Luckily, within the Reverse Harem genre there’s plenty of books that mixes my three favourites.
BELLE: A BOOK YOU BOUGHT FOR ITS BEAUTIFUL COVER THAT’S JUST AS BEAUTIFUL ON THE INSIDE TOO.
I honestly can’t answer this. I’ve never bought a book purely judging it by its cover. I’ve left books on the shelves, where I didn’t like the cover. But never the other way around. However, I got a similar question or a question where I had to pick a book with a beautiful cover for the FIFA World Cup Book Tag. Anyway, for that tag I found the book “In Search Of A Father”. I haven’t read it, but the cover is really beautiful.
I haven’t read or bought the book, yet, but I will be getting around to it eventually. So, that purchase will be based on the cover. Only time can tell, whether it’s beautiful inside, too.
GASTON: A BOOK EVERYONE LOVES THAT YOU DON’T.
I’m seriously baffled by this!
- Starcrossed (Starcrossed #1) has a Goodreads average rating of 4.07
- Dreamless (Starcrossed #2) has a Goodreads average rating of 4.19
- Goddess (Starcrossed #3) has a Goodreads average rating of 4.24
AND I DON’T GET IT!
I rated them 3, 2 & 3 – and I thought that was mighty generous.
LEFOU: A LOYAL SIDEKICK YOU CAN’T HELP BUT LOVE MORE THAN THEIR COUNTERPART
Ha! One of my favourite fanboys from The Beauty and The Beast.
Of my most recent reads, I’ll have to say pretty much any secondary character in At Any Price, At Any Turn, At Any Moment & Worth Any Cost is way more awesome and likeable than the female lead, Mia. It was really hard for me to like her in the first book, but she kind of grew on me. But sheesh in the second and third book, I, a non-violent person, really felt like slapping her silly.
MRS. POTTS, CHIP, LUMIERE, AND COGSWORTH: A BOOK THAT HELPED YOU THROUGH A DIFFICULT TIME OR TAUGHT YOU SOMETHING VALUABLE.
Most YA books I’ve read have taught me, that even though people might have seen me as difficult person when I was a teenager, I was pretty darn normal and reasonable compared to most YA characters.
If you look at the heroines, I was nowhere that needy. Even the awesome ones, like Percy Jackson, made me look downright calm and chilled.
But aside from that as I mostly read Romance, there’s not too many heavy life lessons to be learned. But The Raven Queen’s Harem by Angel Lawson taught me quite a bit about the Celtic Goddess of War, Fate and Death: the Morrigan, which I enjoyed.
SOMETHING THERE: A BOOK OR SERIES YOU WEREN’T INTO AT FIRST BUT PICKED UP TOWARDS THE END
This one was more towards the middle, than towards the end. But nonetheless, I didn’t much like Groupie in the Rock-Hard Beautiful series, at least not the first time I read it. I had a hard time connecting with Lilith. However, after reading the entire series and then re-reading the first book, I loved her almost as much as her harem does.
BE OUR GUEST: A FICTIONAL CHARACTER YOU’D LOVE TO HAVE OVER FOR DINNER
Questions like this one have me change my answer all the time, there’s just too many to choose from. However, right now, in this very moment, I think it would be the Apocalypse. I have a feeling, that if we don’t end up too wrapped up in our individual inner monologues, we’d have a great time.
Now is usually the time to tag someone else, but I feel like I’ve tagged so many people lately without knowing if people like being tagged. So, I’ll have to copy Sara on this one and say, that I’ll leave the tag open. If you like being tagged for things, please let me know, so I can keep you in mind for future tags – the same goes if you don’t want being tagged, please let me know and I’ll avoid tagging you.
