I wasn’t tagged to do this one, but I saw it over at Sara’s blog and thought it would be fun to do. If you haven’t already, you should check out her blog.
QUESTIONS FROM SARA
1.Do you have any hobbies aside from reading?
I’m not really a big hobby person, but I like swimming.
2. What’s the last book you added to your TBR?
The last book added was The Burning Maze book 3 in Rick Riordan’s Trials of Apollo.
I meant to read it as soon as it was released on the 1st of May, however, as I don’t love these books as much as I did the Percy Jackson books and, I was in the middle of reading other books, I pushed it. Now rumour has it, that one of the seven demigods from the Heroes of Olympus series, dies. Rick has a track record showing, that the third book is usually when excitement really kicks in. So, as I cannot deal with the death, and then having to wait an entire year for more, I’m trying to protect myself by forgetting the book even exists. At least that’s the plan for now.
3. What book are you most proud of finishing?
I think I’ve mentioned this before, but I was proud of reading Homer’s Iliad many years ago, as I knew people that even studied it at UNI and never managed to finish it.
4. What’s been your biggest struggle with blogging?
When I started I had a lot of reviews already finished, so I struggled a bit figuring out whether I should post them all right away, or spread it out. But my biggest struggle was choosing a design and personalise it. I’ve never done anything like this before, so it took me some time and a lot of help, to figure it out.
5. What made you decide to start blogging?
I’ve been wanting to start my book blog for some time, but kind of figured there was already a lot out there and, quite frankly I was a daunted with having to set it all up. But even so, I kind of felt I needed a place I could talk to like minded people, and rant about the books I read. My boyfriend and friends was very supportive and, helped push me to go for it – which I’m so grateful for now that I’m here.
6. What’s your favourite social media platform and why?
Personally, I use Facebook. But for my blog I use Twitter. I like both and feel that, both offer different things. As I live in England and my family in Denmark, Facebook is great to staying in touch and see what people are up to. I’ve also joined some awesome reader and author groups, that helps keep me in touch with my favourite authors and, hear the latest about their books.
Twitter has been great for my blog, help sharing my reviews etc. and tag the authors who’s book I review.
