Dragon’s Curse (Blood Prophecy, #2)

My rating: ❤❤ of 5!

Dragon's Curse

As soon as I finished the first book in this series I quickly went on to the next one. It helps a lot that the books are relatively short, so it doesn’t take much more than a few hours to devour each one!

This book starts up where the previous one left us, where Aria just learned that she’s the destined mate to all five dragon princes:

Casius
Bastian
Rhys
Mateo
Erik

So far Aria almost succeeded in breaking into the safe, at the Valhalla ball. But she’s not out of the woods yet, as Silas’ (her guardian) life is now in danger due to her failure at stealing the Blood stone. But that’s not all, an ancient curse prevented all dragon shifters from being able to find their true mate, but now that the dragon princes have found theirs, there’s hope that the curse can be broken.

However, Aria is not the kind of person who trusts easily, so the dragons has to work hard to gain her trust, so they can work together.

Personally, I’m still left wanting in regards to depth of both the plot and the characters. I’m not sold on Aria’s personality. I think the authors may have wanted to go for independent and badass, but to me she comes out as annoying and immature.

Even with the sexy times I’ll say this is more YA than anything else, because it’s not really that moving. So it’s a bit like flipping the channels on your TV/TIVO/Netflix/Amazon w/e – where you end up watching some lame-ass entertaining show, just so you don’t have to process and think too much. For that kind of entertainment this book series is spot on!
