Keyla is back, with her four psychos:
❤ Number 1: Gage
❤ Number 2: Ezekiel
❤ Number 3: Kai
❤ Number 4: Jude
This book picks up right where the Four Psychos left us, with the third trial. What could be worse than what they’ve already been through? Well this trial is designed by the devil himself.
“Just a suggestion: When the Devil says, “Let the games begin,” see if you can run in the opposite direction. If not, put on your big girl panties. Someone might die.”
Before the trial starts, Lamar, (the prisoner from book #1, also the lover of one of the devils offspring), is offering a piece of friendly advice to the 4 psychos: pay attention to the riddles. As soon as the trial starts it becomes abundantly clear, that Keyla and the four psychos are not meant to survive this trial. So, as their self-proclaimed protector, Keyla has her work cut out for her keeping each of the men alive.
Throughout the obstacle filled trial, Keyla starts winning over the four psychos. This is no mere feat as it does take her sacrificing herself for them. However, the rewards and gratitude she receives does seem to make it all worthwhile!
We finally find out who they all are. I did have my suspicions about the psychos, and I’m thrilled to have been proven right! However, the real twist is when Keyla’s identity is revealed.
If I have to be honest, I didn’t really think it would be possible to top the first book – just goes to show how wrong I am! Keyla continues to be one of the best female leads and narrator’s of all times. Her vanity, snark and sass had me laughing through most of the book and, for the rest I had to admire her fierce loyalty, that doesn’t waver no matter what is thrown at her and her psychos. I think that the psycho’s personalities were explained really well in the first book, but here in the second instalment I enjoyed getting to know them even better.
As many questions as this book answers, at least just as many are left unanswered and I can’t wait for the next book to come out❤
