Once again, we start right where the previous book left us!
Morgan continuously learn more about her Raven guards, both as individuals and as a group. At the same time the Morrigan keeps getting stronger, so Morgan and her guards keep trying to prevent the past from repeating itself.
Morgan finds a spell that she believes will help rid her of the ancient goddess and he’s very firm in her believe, even when her Ravens are doubting that it’ll be worth the risk! However, Morgan is growing into her role, and won’t let anyone (not even her guards) stop her. As much as I admire a strong female lead, which Morgan is, it can be a little bothersome when she have that “I know best” attitude, even though, her guardians know more of the raven queen.
Despite her best procrastinating efforts, Morgan is running out of time before she has to choose a mate, or all their efforts will be lost.
Morgan learns that the Morrigan won’t be ignored, and she has to deal with choices and the consequences of them. Pride stands for fall, but so far it’s been hard to tell whether it’s hers or that of the ancient goddess, but one thing is certain, shizz just got real!
