Hacking Darkness (Dark Codes, #1)

Hacking Darkness

This is the first non-paranormal Reverse Harem book I’ve read, and I must say I love it!

Darcy’s world is turned around after she gives an interview about her dads death 6 years ago, and without realising it she provides new evidence in a case she had no knowledge even existed. Almost as soon as the interview is printed, the FBI is at her door to take her to their HQ for questioning. However, they’re intercepted and Darcy is kidnapped by 4 masked men. Darcy is a cabeable and stubborn woman, and she fights them at every chance she gets but she soon learns that might not be the way to go, and maybe, just maybe, there’s more going on than what she knows.

On top of that, Darcy is also developing feelings (or maybe it’s just lust) for her kidnappers. What I particularly enjoyed about this part is, that Marissa makes it quite realistic by having Darcy question how insane it all is and, how she definitely shouldn’t feel anything but annoyance, anger and hate towards her captors.

I love Marissa Farrar’s writing, her style is amazing and really unique, which left me wanting and needing more. If you’re a reverse harem fan, you can’t go wrong with this book.
